Fishtoft (5 miles)

A 5 mile (8 km) Lincolnshire County Council walk through historic low lying fens between the village of Fishtoft and the River Haven, starting at The Red Cow Inn (a Bateman's Brewery pub). Fishtoft was mentioned in the Domesday Book and excavations have uncovered a wealth of pre-Conquest Anglo Saxon finds, which are rare in the Lincolnshire Fens. The route passes over tracks and field paths and walkers will see evidence of human intervention within the landscape, plus impressive views of the tower of St Botolph's tower.
