A brand-new focal point for modern-day community life.
Benington Community Heritage Trust (BCHT) is proud to introduce The Beonna at All Saints - a brand-new focal point for modern-day community life and a unique venue for cultural activities.
Our beautiful building, a Grade I listed medieval church, combines modern comforts and facilities with historic architecture, a beautiful rural setting and easy access to nearby towns including Boston and Skegness.
Our renovation was shortlisted for the Best Restoration of a Historic Building or Place (under £5m) Historic England Angels Award 2018, sponsored by Keymer, and we gratefully acknowledge the assistance of all of those who have funded, assisted, been part of or otherwise supported BCHT in the 12 years of work that began with research and consultation, progressed to fundraising and bid-writing and culminated in the refit, retrofit, regeneration and renovation works. Together, our efforts have secured a future for this nationally important building and offered communities in Lincolnshire and beyond 'an exemplar for how other at risk churches can meet 21st Century needs and be saved for the benefit of future generations'.
Come along and enjoy the amazing architecture including the curious beasts carved in the chancel. the symbols carefully crafted to guard against witchcraft and much more.
